Youth MinistryThe Sacred Heart Youth Ministry
The new Sacred Heart Youth Ministry would like to invite interested students between 7th grade and 12th grade to get involved in their parish through community service and community with others. This opportunity is available to youth in Sacred Heart parish, and from other local parishes. This will be a fantastic opportunity to continue work in the Church after Confirmation, and also to learn the benefits of service before the Sacrament of Confirmation. We will build relationships through group activities, such as games and nights out, and will have time to get to know each other, and get to know God while still having fun!
We invite interested students to join us Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 5:00-9:00 to have dinner together, participate in community service and for game night in the Hall as well as “Make your own sundaes”! (*See email sign up list to bring a sundae topping!) The price for this activity is $5.00 and this money will go towards future Youth Ministry events/projects. To RSVP, please contact Michael Grigoriou, Benjamin Grigoriou or Delaney O’Toole at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Wednesday, February 6th so we can be sure we have enough food.
*** Bring your favorite game if you would like (and be sure it is labeled with your name) and we will do a “round robin” format of playing games throughout the evening. We hope you can join us!
Please contact Michael Grigoriou, Benjamin Grigoriou or Delaney O'Toole (Co-Leaders) at email@example.com or call Elizabeth Grigoriou in the Rectory at 860-668-4246 to sign up! Visit us on Instagram at: Sacredheartyouth_ or on Twitter at SHCyouth or Facebook at SacredHeartyouthCT for updates! Permission slips will be provided at the time of sign up. In order for this to be a success, we will need a few parents to volunteer during each meeting to chaperone. Please spread the word and pray for us!
*If you are interested in attending and unable to cover the cost of the outing, please contact Elizabeth Grigoriou directly at the Rectory. This Ministry is open to all students (in grades 7th – 12th) regardless of whether they can afford it and we certainly would like to include everyone! If financial assistance is needed to participate, please know that it will be kept strictly confidential.
